Okay, so I totally dear boy-ed like a week ago. Meaning, it hasn't been ages. But I feel like it's been a while since I really blogged. You know, real-life-spilled-my-guts-out-and-shared-my-soul-with-complete-strangers kind of blogging.
Not having internet will do that to you.
First off, let's just talk about the elephant in the room of life: growing up is h-a-r-d. I'm not sure I like it. And at the same time, I totally love it. Life is not always sunshine and roses. Awful, horrible, hard, sad, frustrating things happen every day. I haven't quite figured out how to keep a sunshine and roses attitude through it all. I'm not entirely sure you're supposed to. I think sometimes you need to be a little cloudy and... dirt clod-ey? (You know what I mean, if you don't... well... I just don't know what to tell you.)
I feel pretty in that picture. That was last week. This week, I had the worst, yuckiest, painful, dirt clod-ey breakout I've had in a long time. (Will you all please make dirt clod-ey part of your regular vocabulary? Thanks.) Really, I have been in pain, it takes a lot of work to convince myself I'm pretty, and I've basically just been grateful that the mirrors haven't come for our new office yet.
A couple things: I love that school is back in session and people are back in Logan. ILOVEITSOMUCH. Also, I went to the football game last week with my roomie, Emily and I loved that so much too.
If it weren't for Nichelle and the Temple, I think I'd cry about my life every day.
Everyone needs two things in their life: A very best friend and a place of peace.
I've been going to the temple early in the mornings... it's hard. Getting out of bed early is not my best friend, but the temple is worth it. It has made me so much happier.
Nichelle is pretty much the coolest ever. She makes my life the coolest ever.
I bought a whole peck of tomatoes. Tomatoes are my favorite food ever.
Also, I got hipster glasses.
But I'm not a hipster, 'cause hipster glasses are the cool thing now.
(How did the hipster burn his tongue? He sipped his coffee BEFORE it was cool.)
(If a hipster is someone who likes things before they are cool, what do you call someone who likes things way after they're cool? Utahn.)
Also, Elisabeth and I went to the Brigham City temple open house with some friends and we ran into Becca and it was neat. Also, yes, my slip is supposed to be showing.
And because I missed dear boys day by 34 minutes...
ugh. why am I still so attracted to you?
I don't want to date you, I've definitely gotten over that.
It'd be nice if my heart didn't still melt over your smile though.
dear comcast guy,
thanks for fixing my internet
and awkwardly sitting on my floor on hold with comcast forever to make sure my modem was registered
and getting me a twenty dollar credit on my bill
and being attractive and nice
worst. timing. ever.
