silent night

Silent Night by Josh Groban on Grooveshark

It's been a busy busy busy couple days. Friday I was up at 7:30 in the morning and out shopping until 2:30 the next morning. Last minute Christmas shopping is serious business in my family. Saturday was full of shopping and our annual Christmas Tree Picnic. Then, we wrapped. And wrapped. And wrapped. And took care of some elf bidness. We got to sleep around 2:30 am.

We don't do the six in the morning present opening in our house. Nope. We started opening presents sometime after 9. It was glorious. We checked out our santa stuff and got ready for church. After church, we opened the rest of our presents and went to our grandparent's house for the family party. So, today's been a little more calm than the rest of the week, but it's just now that I'm really getting a chance to sit and relax.

It's a silent night. (Minus the dull roar of little brother playing Modern Warfare 3 on my new TV). But, I finally have time to really stop and think, and I am happy.

I'm happy that I have a wonderful family to celebrate Christmas with. I'm happy that I know the meaning of Christmas and that I know of the love Christ has for me. I'm happy to be alive, to have hope, and to be so blessed with so many gifts and also with the opportunity to give.

I love Christmas. I hope all of your days were as wonderful and as full of love as mine.
