Last week, I went to the Forgotten Carols. I love the story, I love the play, and I LOVE the music. Back in high school, I got to be in the choir for Forgotten Carols and it made Christmas for me. There is nothing like performing and sharing a message that you believe in. The spirit of Christmas is definitely a message I believe in.
Also last week, we had our IWA Christmas fireside. It was the last IWA meeting ever and it was such a bittersweet event. I think more sweet than bitter, because we left with our hearts full of Christmas spirit and hope for the future. The priesthood adviser who released us all from our callings made a very profound comment that has been on my mind ever since. He said, "Don't shine so that others can see you. Shine so that, through you, others can see Him."
That is going to be my motto this Christmas season. Actually, it's going to be my motto for a very long time. Because really, it's what life is all about.
P.s. The winner of the Shabby Apple necklace giveaway is Elisabeth. Congrats, girl!
