I spend a lot of time on "if only's" in my life.
If only I had a boyfriend, I know I'd be happier...
If only I knew what I was going to do when I graduated...
If only this...
If only that...
If only I spent my time thinking about things like:
You know, you only get to be single once, and I am having the time of my life. Someday, I'll be happy to have a boyfriend/finance/husband, but right now, I love being single.
I'm lucky to have been able to afford college and get a degree. I'm so blessed to have made the friends I have in college. I'm SO fortunate that I will soon have a bachelor's degree and be able to get a good job that I'll enjoy.
I have amazing people in my life.
I'm fortunate to be alive and well and happy.
I have so many things that so many people don't. I truly am spoiled.
If only I would change my perspective a little, I could stop worrying about the "if only's" and the "what ifs" and start living for today.
And today, life is good.
