Hopefully when you stalked her, you saw her iBelieve post. How cool is that? Sometimes, it's hard to be so bold about your faith. What you believe, what you know, etc.
Recently I had an experience where I was talking to a girl who we'll call Holly. She was visiting our campus with her church's youth group. I was in the institute building (the place where we can take religious classes on campus for my religion). I asked her what she was studying - "Pre Law". I asked what she was planning on doing with that and was speechless at her answer "I will go wherever the Lord takes me."
Now, I'm a religious person. I'm really involved up at the institute and I strive to live the way I should. But, I often keep to myself about it. Religion is a big part of my life. It defines who I am. So, why wouldn't I speak in a way that would reflect that? It's really easy for me to share my beliefs with those who share my beliefs. Friends from church, friends from institute, etc. But, I often shy away from sharing what I believe with those who might have different beliefs.
So, today I'm linking up with The Mrs.
This is what I believe:
I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm LDS. I'm a Mormon.
I believe in God the eternal father, and in His son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
I believe in life after death. Eternal Life.
I believe in the Atonement.
I believe in the Book of Mormon.
I believe that the happiness I have in my life comes from the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through living his teachings.
